"The only lasting beauty is the beauty of the heart" - Rumi
I love stories, poems, singing and the sounding sea.
I am inspired by rich environments, light, shadow, color and mood. Out of this grows a compelling desire to weave a tale out of my imagination, fed by a deep appreciation of magic, myth, romance and passion.
I do not use stock and textures in my art.

"The sad characteristic of planned societies is the sterility of creativity and the lack of inventiveness, for these flourish in an open society. Thus we continue to confront the familiar dilemma of how to solve economic/social problems yet safeguard, even develop, freedoms that have been so hard won over the centuries. The American revolutionary, Eugene Debs, put it so well, 'While there is a lower class I am of it. While there is a soul in prison I am not free.' " - (extract from my father's book)
"Shakespeare, Leonardo da Vinci, Benjamin Franklin and Abraham Lincoln never saw a movie, heard a radio or looked at television. They had 'Loneliness' and knew what to do with it. They were not afraid of being lonely because they knew that was when the creative mood in them would work."
